Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has said that he is extremely happy with the signings that the club has made so far in the summer transfer window. Arsenal have secured the signings of German international Lukas Podolski for £ 10 million, while the French forward Olivier Giroud has also arrived at the club for a similar amount of money. Even though the star strikers Theo Walcott and Robin van Persie have been linked with a move away from the club, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has said that he cannot be more than satisfied with the purchases that the club has made so far. He has also said that he feels that the club can finally challenge for trophies once again.

It has been seven seasons since Arsenal last lifted the trophy. It has been one of the main reasons for many stars like Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri to leave the club in recent seasons, while Robin van Persie could be the next major star. However, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has said that players leaving the club is something that is normal and he is going to only focus on the new arrivals. The German international Lukas Podolski is the major talk of the town due to this experience and goalscoring abilities.

“He’s got 100 caps for Germany which is a massive achievement in itself. Giroud is a very good striker as well. He scores goals and brings quality to the side and that’s what we need. You’ve always got to bring in new players and they’re fantastic signings. I’ve met them and they’re both really good lads so I think we’ll get on really well this year and they’ll be really good to play with,” said the Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who made his debut for the England national team in a major tournament at the Euro 2012.
